Joyfulness seems to multiply when the sun is shining! Loving this bonus week of summer..
Here are a few thoughts for the week:
Emergency Food: Each year we try to collect a small bag of emergency food for each student which we store for the year just in case we have an un-expected event that requires students to stay for an extended time at the school. Most parents send items like food bars, jerky, and snack bags, nuts or other non-perishables they know their student would likely be willing to eat in a somewhat-stressful situation. I also encourage parents to also add a comforting note their child could read in such a scenario. If you haven't yet sent your emergency food, please do. My hope is to send it back home to you in June unused!
October 1st is an elementary chapel: This will be our second elementary chapel via Zoom within the building! It worked pretty well the first time. If parents would like to join in, we start about 9:10 after the students have done some in-class singing. The meeting room is 578 954 1252 passcode: 486692 If you join, please mute your mic upon entry.
October 13th is picture day: While your students almost always look terrific, you may want to comb their hair a little extra or put on a particularly photogenic outfit Tuesday, October 13th. I believe Laura Callahan, our photographer, will be sending proofs and accepting orders entirely on-line this year, so stay tuned for more information as that gets closer.
Volunteer opportunity: Our preschool has a lovely train table that has several rails that have detached and are in need of some handy person to administer some loving repair work. Anyone you know?
Thank you so much to the crew from Eagle Building Company who are busily at work on our covered play area this week! Tomorrow we get to watch the trusses go up. We will be ready for the next rainy day!
...and thank YOU for sending us such awesome students!
