This week features three days of parent-teacher conferences resulting in early release (12:15 pm) Wednesday-Friday.   At ICA we believe that according to Scripture, the responsibility for a child’s education rests on the parent.  By sending your students to ICA, you don’t abdicate that responsibility, but rather give us the ability to educate in your place while they are in our care.  Parent-teacher conferences allow you to sit down face-to-face with the teacher(s) to solidify your partnership and affirm  the desired outcome of seeing that your student is as successful as he or she can possibly be.

These meetings are set early in the year to help head off habits or behaviors that may derail your student’s success.  At the conference you can expect to hear the teacher’s perception of your student’s progress and receive a paper copy of their current progress report.  (You can also observe their progress any time by logging into your Gradelink account.)   I would like to encourage you to please take advantage of this opportunity to let the teacher know that you are interested in your child’s success!

Auction – For those of you who have opted for full auction participation, I would like to remind you to turn in your procurement forms and items as soon as you can (remember to put your name on each form as well).  We have a prize drawing once again this year that will include all families who have met their procurement goal by Friday, November 6th.  The earlier the better!  There are still many businesses that have given in previous years that have not been claimed to contact in THE BOOK.  Let us know if we can encourage or help you in your auction procurement quest!

Grandparents Day - Remind your parents or in-laws to RSVP for next Tuesday's big celebration of Grandparents from 10:00am -12:00pm.  We look forward to spoiling them a little!

JH/HS Retreat - We had a fantastic retreat last Thursday/Friday at Calvary Chapel's facility!  See some photos of the event below.  Thank you to our JH and HS teachers, Laura Wilmoth, Sherry Justus, Gabrielle and John Baalke for planning a stellar event!

See more details in the attached MT document!

Having a great time serving your students,

Brenda
