The countdown is on! Two weeks from today we will celebrate the completion of a stellar year of school. Before that, though, we're beating the year-end fidgets by engaging the students in some out-side-the-classroom experiences. Fair Ground Community Service Day. This Friday is one such experience for the WHOLE school! We'll be helping clean up the fairgrounds by sweeping pine needles, picking up pine cones, clearing the arena of small rocks, and weeding. It's light work that any age group can have a great time working on. We'll be working together in our mixed-age houses, so lots of bigs to help the littles. Please have your student bring some gloves to protect their hands, and if you are willing, send a well-marked bucket, rake, or push-broom. Any parents who would like to join the party are most welcome. Field trip permission slips were sent home with every student today for this event. I've attached it to the email just in case it didn't make it home. ICA Family Survey: Please take five minutes to invest in this quick school evaluation. Your thoughts are more important than you may think, but we only benefit from their value if you share them. Thanks in advance for your input! Click here to take it now! Quest deadline is this Friday. Thanks to those creative kids (and parents) who have already sent in evidence of your obstacle courses! What a joy to watch! CORRECTION: Last week I said that the winning house for the year will get to go to Vertical World. BIG oops! I got my height terminology confused! They are actually scheduled for Elevated Sportz, which sounds nothing like it, but offers a significantly different experience. So sorry for any confusion this may have caused! Take a look at the attached MT for lots of year-end details. Thanks for reading! Brenda
