Elections are coming: While our country is embroiled in the most unique presidential election in my lifetime so far, we at ICA are having our own house elections tomorrow(Wednesday). The stakes are much lower in our election, but each candidate will get an opportunity to address their individual house members and let them know why they would be a worthy candidate to represent their house in the Student Council this year. Each of the four houses may elect two representatives.
Candidates must be in the 7th grade or higher, and applications (attached) must be approved by Mrs. Chittim before the elections (tomorrow at 11:45). Meetings of the Student Council are held twice per month during secondary lunch. It's not too late to encourage your secondary student to join the race! A couple of reminders: Tomorrow is a half day (12:30 release). Teachers will be preparing first quarter progress reports (we're four weeks in!). These reports will be available sometime Thursday on Gradelink for students in the 3rd grade or higher. We will also send home printed copies before the end of the week. Quests: Four more weeks to carry out this quarter's quests. This year there are 100 extra house points available when 90% of house members complete at least one quest each quarter. There are several more announcements in the attached Message Tuesday document. You can also always see the school calendar on Gradelink or under the parents tab on our website. Blessings, Brenda
